BMF and Bikesure bring all members a new motorcycle cover policy and massive discount!
In a new partnership deal with Bikesure, a new insurance product has been created which has the interests of BMF members at heart in giving specially negotiated discounts whilst being flexible enough to cover all types of bikes and most circumstances. The new product is ‘BMF Insurance’ and will be managed fully by the Bikesure staff at their Adrian Flux offices. There will be a dedicated phone line and the operations team will try their best to satisfy your needs, as is normal for Adrian Flux who pride themselves in looking for the cover most suited to the person, vehicle and situation, whilst not breaking the bank in the process. As an insurer, they do not like to say ‘no’.
The new BMF Insurance brand will be available for existing members from September 1, 2013 and will be live on the comparison website Go Compare from mid September, which will bundle in the cost of membership with the insurance - including up to 25% discount.
Existing members can call Bikesure on the dedicated phone line to get the right policy for them, at the right price.
As part of the partnership, Bikesure will officially become the BMF’s preferred insurance provider from mid September, benefitting members who ride anything from a moped to a superbike.
Grant Varnham, affiliate development manager at Bikesure - part of the Adrian Flux group, said: “We’re delighted to be teaming up with an organisation with such an illustrious history in campaigning for riders’ rights going way back to the 1960s.”
“We hope that we can not only offer great prices to existing BMF members, but also help the Federation grow its membership numbers with the introduction of BMF Insurance, which will combine competitive premiums with automatic membership and all the benefits that includes.”
Bikesure is part of the UK’s largest specialist insurance broker, Adrian Flux, and has been offering bespoke motorcycle insurance for almost anything on two wheels - plus trikes and quads - since 1990.
With a call centre based in Norfolk, Bikesure deals with a panel of insurers offering more than 40 different specialist schemes, covering anything from standard road bikes to modified motorcycles, classics, superbikes, imports and everything in between.
Benefits on most Bikesure policies include:
- Multibike discounts
- Optional breakdown cover
- Optional personal injury cover
- Free £100,000 legal cover
- Optional helmet and leathers cover up to £1,000
- Limited mileage discounts
- Discounts for experienced riders and security precautions
As well as paying the BMF a generous commission for each new policy taken out and each policy renewed, Bikesure will donate £1,000 to a charity of the Federation’s choice once 100 members have taken out new policies via the dedicated phone number into the broker’s UK-based call centre.
“We have always taken a long-term view with all our business relationships and we want to work with the BMF for a long time,” added Grant.
“We will strive to offer existing and potential members the highest level of service from the initial quote right through to renewals and everything in between.”
Bikesure is the perfect fit for the BMF, which has more than 80,000 individual and affiliated club members who own a variety of different types of motorcycle.
“Here at Bikesure, we’re committed to catering for riders of virtually anything on two wheels, from classics to superbikes, customised and modified bikes to imports and scooters,” said Grant.
“Many of our staff are motorcyclists themselves and understand the individual insurance needs of bikers, from overseas touring cover to agreed value and limited mileage for classics.”
As well as offering big discounts on bike insurance, Bikesure is able to offer BMF members up to 15% off car, home and commercial vehicle insurance through Adrian Flux.
There will be an official launch of the relationship at the BMF’s Tail End Show in Peterborough on September 14 and 15.
Peter Laidlaw, BMF Membership Services Director said:
“I was keen to embark on a partnership which will give the BMF some benefit from the scheme as well as looking after the interests of its members. From all the discussions and our visit to the Adrian Flux offices to see their operation, I am very pleased and confident that our member’s interests are at the heart of this scheme.”
