The BMF recognises the need for sites to comply with the best practice, legal and regulatory guidelines. While we are not yet 100 per cent compliant with best practice we are working hard to ensure that we move towards this goal.
Privacy: Our website is compliant with legal and regulatory guidelines on data protection. We are also considering getting privacy accreditation from a third party in order to offer greater confidence to our users.
Security: Credit card donations made on-line are fully encrypted. Other aspects of our on-line presence are being made increasingly secure in accordance with industry best practice.
Content: Our website is in compliance with guidelines on copyright.
Disability: As shown below, our site is working towards conforming with best practice for visually impaired users and already offers a number of the recommended features.
Redress: We have in place a full complaints procedure should any user be dissatisfied with the service we offer. In case of a complaint you should contact us at: British Motorcyclists Federation, 2 Oswin Road, Brailsford Industrial Estate, Braunstone, Leicester. LE3 1HR
IP Addresses and Log File Data
The BMF site does not automatically capture or store personal information, other than logging the user's IP Address or the location of your computer or network on the Internet, for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes. (If you are connected to the Internet you have an IP address, for example an IP address might read "18.104.22.168"). DISABILITY ACCESS We believe that it is important to make our website accessible to all users. With this in mind we have worked hard to improve the ease of use for visually impaired users.
In particular we have ensured the availability of "alt text", a simple and clear approach to online layout and improved colour contrast. Our site works well in text-only browsers and fits the criteria for people with visual impairment. We hope that this makes the site accessible to as many visually impaired users as possible but we recognise the need to continue to improve in this area.
For further information, please contact us at the BMF, 2 Oswin Road, Brailsford Industrial Estate, Braunstone, Leicester. LE3 1HR. If you have any comments or suggestions about our disability policy then please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
