BMF AGM changes

The following motion has been proposed by Ms Anna Zee and seconded by Mr Howard Anderson for the consideration of the Annual General meeting (AGM) of The British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF) to be held on Saturday 10 October 2015 at Salem Methodist Church, Halifax.

Motion: That paragraph 10.11 of the Constitution be replaced by the following:

"The Management Team shall meet in person or by electronic means as often and for as long as is  to ensure that the Federation's business is carried out efficiently. "

Rationale: The current paragraph requires 4 physical meetings of the Management Team each year. Given the composition of MT over the last few years, i.e. one director in Northern Ireland, one in Scotland, one in Lancashire and one in London, physical meetings are expensive, and in the internet age unnecessary. The team is able to work much more efficiently and is able to respond to circumstances in a far more timely manner by holding regular Skype or similar electronic meetings.
