David Dingley award presented by the FEMA committee
Maria Nordgvist was the deserving recipient of the David Dingley Memorial Award at last weekend's (5 October) Federation of European Motorcyclists' Associations (FEMA) committee meeting in Brussels.
Maria, who is from the Swedish Motorcyclists Association (SMC), was given the award to recognise her services to motorcycling. She has been an active player in riders’ rights for 20 years, which has now been rightly commended by the committee. The award was given by Jim Freeman, chairman of the British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF), and marks only the second time that the award has ever been given out. The first was in 2017, when it was presented to Morten Hansen from the Norwegian Motorcyclists Organisation (NMCU), in recognition of his work.
