The British Motorcyclists Federation is an organisation that works in the interests of its members and the wider motorcycling community. Most of the activists and workers in the organisation are  volunteers supported by a central office and administrator. The BMF is a not-for-profit organisation that also has a charity arm: ‘The BMF Foundation’.

There is a vacancy for the position of BMF Administrator, which requires an ability to work independently with initiative and skill in dealing directly with members of the public, other organisations and volunteers. We are looking for a person who can demonstrate a flexible, proactive approach with commitment to a varied role.

This includes: membership fulfilment of individuals and clubs, press and social communications, financial book keeping, and general enquiries. The candidate should be able to demonstrate good IT skills and experience with databases.

The position will have a period of training to give familiarity of the BMF, its background and the details of the work involved. It will be an advantage that applicants have some knowledge of and interest in the motorcycling community.

The position is based in Leicester with a working week of 37 hours, evenly split from Monday to Friday. Salary will be in the region of £20,000 p.a. There will be a six-month probationary period with consideration for increased salary on completion.
