In August, the Federation of European Motorcyclists’ Associations (FEMA) revealed the most common causes of motorcycle incidents from asking about 25,000 riders.

Risk ratings

Each incident causation has been rated to the level it could create physical injury.

High Risk: more than 50% chance of physical injury.

Medium Risk: 25-50 % chance of physical injury

Low Risk: less than 25% chance of physical injury

FEMA says that “traffic safety measures and innovations should give priority to improvements that help prevent these top 13 accident causes”.
