Following the UK Government’s recent change of policy which was announced on 10th May 2020, the BMF advises motorcyclists that:

- The lockdown restrictions remain unchanged in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

- The restrictions on riders in England have been eased. However, the BMF strongly urges all riders to only make essential journeys and to avoid groups and social meeting places. Essential journeys now include travelling to work for those who cannot work from home. Avoid public transport at all costs.

- Social distancing remains essential. Do not put yourself into situations where social distancing cannot be achieved. If in doubt, don’t risk it.

- Be sensible - the pandemic is not over, and other countries such as South Korea and Germany are already reporting signs of a possible second wave.
