Honda’s self-balancing motorcycle
Honda has revealed a motorcycle that can balance itself. Using ‘Moto Riding Assist’, it can even stand on its own without a rider.
Oh yes, and it can drive itself.
Revealed at the Las Vegas CES technology show, the concept motorcycle applies the technology of its ASIMO robot and Uni-Cub. At 3mph or less, the motorcycle balances extends its front forks and automatically retains balance by steering itself.
Watch the video below to see it in action!
There is no news that the technology will trickle down to production models any time soon, but it could have practical uses in the future – especially for riders with heavier machines.
Come on Honda, let’s see it do a wheelie!
