The Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA) has released a template for a letter or email that can be used to promote the interests of motorcyclists when writing to Members of Parliament.

The lack of mention of motorcycles and other forms of powered two-wheelers (PTW) in the government’s recent change to lockdown regulations brought in to control the COVID-19 pandemic has been widely criticised. To help address this, the template calls for the MP’s assistance in promoting the interests of motorcyclists and explains the contribution PTWs make to society.

To make the process of lobbying elected representatives easier, the pre-written template only needs the addition of your MP’s name as appropriate. The template can be found here, while official contact details for MPs can be found here.
