The London Motorcycle Museum has announced that it will be closing permanently on Monday 7th October.

A statement on the museum’s Facebook page said: “In May, we celebrated 20 fulfilling years of sharing our rich and varied British motorcycle history and culture with visitors from around the globe.

“Our visitors’ books are full of enthusiastic comments and encouragement but, sadly, those do not pay the bills and we are now at a point where we are not able to continue.

“We would like to wholeheartedly thank all our dedicated volunteers over the years and everyone who has ever visited or expressed their support.”

The museum’s Crosby Collection will be sold at the Bonhams auction at Stafford on Saturday 19th October.
