Ride-out raises £1000 for Bosely Victims Appeal
Motorcyclists joined forces to help generate important funds for the Bosely Victims Appeal, travelling from Congleton to Hartingdon in Derbyshire on Sunday July 26.
Despite the foul weather, a ride-out to raise money for those affected by the Bosley Wood Treatment tragedy attracted well over 60 bikers and their pillions – all anxious to demonstrate their sympathy and support for the victims and their families.
Each rider chipped in at least £5.00, and on reaching their destination of Hartington everyone dug deep into their pockets once again.
Several shoppers at the start point of Tesco Congleton readily helped out and a number unable to ride on the day made the journey to the start line to contribute.
The charity ride-out, organised by the Gawsworth Jesters Motorcycle Club, raised around £1,000 for the appeal.
On Friday July 17 a series of explosions devastated Bosely Wood Flour Mill, killing at least three workers and injuring many others.
The organisers would like to thank all those who braved the weather with their attendance, contributing to an extremely pertinent and worthy cause.
