Next week sees the return of the national Ride to Work Week. UK-wide events, special offers, biker breakfasts and many other activities will take place across the country. BikeSafe will be running a special ‘Bridging the Gap’ workshop in Northamptonshire and GetOn will be offering free 30-minute ride sessions for beginners throughout the UK.

Studies have shown that there are many advantages to riding to work. Motorcyclists’ road safety knowledge is almost twice as good as people who only drive and, if just 10% of drivers took to two wheels, the total road congestion would be reduced by 40%!

Better yet, according to the Office of National Statistics, motorcyclists are the happiest commuters and that’s not a surprise. Riding saves you time where you’d otherwise be stuck in traffic. Riding saves you money by using less fuel. Riding means it’s easier to park in that tight space at the end of the long ride!

Find out more of the many events occurring in your area on the Ride to Work Week website.
