TT legend Les Trotter checks in

The BMF is in touch with legendary TT rider Les Trotter. Here is his latest update:

"Quick update prompted by the article I saw in this month's issue. I was at the Millom Bike Group`s annual Motorcycle and Car show at Thwaites near Millom in Cumbria on Sunday, and the people on the BMF stand handed me a copy.
I put a small display on for the show on Sunday with a load of pics covering my 50 years of racing (1963 to 2013)
and a couple of machines i`m still using. No. 121 is an Ex works 500cc 4cyl water-cooled Suzuki I had out at Armoy in Ireland last week.

Just to rectify a slight error in the text of the piece you ran on my trip to Donington – it was actually 1976 when I won the Senior Manx Grand Prix, not 1974 as stated. I finished 4th in the Senior in 1975 and 5th in 1973… see, I don`t give up easily!

Looking forward to my ride on the Wheatman RG 500 Suzuki… nice way to celebrate my 72nd birthday, eh?
Back from Donington on Sunday night, then off to the Isle of Man for 3 weeks on Tuesday for the Manx Grand Prix, where I`m helping out scrutineering, marshalling et.

Busy old pensioner, aren`t I?"
