Lincolnshire Bike Week

18/07/2018

Taking place throughout Lincolnshire

The BMF is supporting Lincolnshire Bike Week 2018 – a brand new, exciting seven-day celebration of all things motorcycling. Taking place July 18-25, the family-friendly event is perfect for anyone interested in bikes, trikes, quads, music and racing at the seaside!

The week kicks-off with the popular Mablethorpe Bike Night (July 18), followed by lots of other activities including ride-outs, trackdays, beach racing and the Beach Hut Festival with a flypast. There will also be a Vintage Village during the week, where vintage and classic bikes enthusiasts can camp and exhibit among their fellows.

On the Friday and Saturday nights (July 20-21), the centrally located Festival Fields at Trusthorpe will burst into life with a main stage featuring great bands and entertainment. Then on Sunday July 22, there will be the Russells International Circus, featuring some truly jaw-dropping motorcycle stunts amongst other spectacular performances.

The week’s finale will take place at the Sutton-on-Sea Bike Night (July 25), featuring more great live bands, a ‘Burning Bike’ and an awesome pyro-musical show.

Seven days of family-friendly motorcycle entertainment

The events included in Lincolnshire Bike Week are spread out at different locations within a mile or two of the central festival site, and shuttle buses will be available to get you from one part of the event to the next. There will be a low-cost secure bike park onsite with 24-hour security so you can leave your bike safely if you wish to venture and explore the beaches and area.

For the traditional festival experience, the festival field site offers camping (tents only) for £10 per tent per night (up to five people per tent). Those who demand more luxury can be accommodated in the vast array of local B&Bs, campsites and holiday parks listed on the event website. The festival site is literally yards from the beautiful beach, making it perfect for a week or weekend stay.

There is so much to see and do, with much of the week’s events free of charge. You just need to purchase a Lincolnshire Bike Week wristband to access the festival field events and the circus shows.

The event will also be helping to raise funds for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and the Royal British Legion, among other charities.

Lincolnshire Bike Week is set to become an annual festival, with the organiser – Coastal Events CIC – already planning events for next year.
