Do you love classic motorcycle films? If so, you’ll be excited to hear that the classic film Silver Dream Racer has been released on DVD and Blu-ray for the first time.

David Essex stars as motorbike enthusiast Nick Freeman, who is determined to challenge the British Grand Prix on his brother’s untested, new motorcycle. The film features songs sung by David Essex and scenes filmed at the 1979 British Grand Prix.

Mitch Elliott, BMF Events Director, recently reviewed the film and gave his verdict: “The introduction was a real memory jogger and there is some good period racing action, with Brands Hatch, Donnington and Silverstone featured.

“While the storyline is a bit naff, it’s worth watching for original race footage and just to see how much the circuits and safety have improved.”

This new release features a brand-new High Definition transfer from the original theatrical film, so you can watch it as it was originally intended to be seen. Silver Dream Racer is available now on DVD and Blu-ray at
