Winter hasn’t arrived yet, so there’s still plenty of perfectly good riding weather left in 2018. If you’re looking for ideas about where to go and what you can do, or you just want a convenient excuse to get on your bike and ride, take a look at these:



Ride to the Wall Service of Remembrance

Throughout the UK

This unique motorcycling eventsees the country’s motorcyclists gather at places of remembrance to honour the sacrifices of fallen servicemen and -women and keep their memories alive. This excellent cause also raises funds for the National Memorial Arboretum.



Copdock Motorcycle Show

Trinity Park, Ipswich, Suffolk

Run by the enthusiastic stalwarts at the Copdock Classic Motorcycle Club, the Copdock Motorcycle Show is East Anglia’s premier motorcycle show and is definitely worth hopping on your bike for. It also raises funds for a number of charities and good causes.



BMF AGM 2018

Highland Moors, Wellington Road, Llandrindod Wells, Powys, LD1 5ND

The BMF Annual General Meeting is your opportunity to help decide the Federation’s long-term plans for the year ahead. Join your fellow BMF members at the Highland Moors Guest House and Conference Centre in Llandrindod Wells to discuss everything from riders’ rights to BMF membership.

The meeting will feature progress reports from every member of the BMF Management Team, including the latest news about current lobbying initiatives, events, finances and membership. The Chairman will also present an overview of recent successes and the current state of the Federation.

All full and affiliate BMF members are invited to attend and you’re welcome to put forward your own points for discussion.



Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show

Celebrating its 25th anniversary – honestly, where has the time gone? – this year and long a firm favourite of the country’s bikers, the Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show is an indispensable addition to any calendar. More than 900 traders, dealers and autojumble stands make finding hidden gems or just handy spares a likely bet too.




Madeira Drive, Brighton

With all profit going to the Sussex Hearts Charity, competitions, trade stands and a healthy supply of rock and roll, this is the perfect way for a biker to spend a Sunday. The Custom Bike Show is a reliable crowd-pleaser too.



National Motorcycle Museum Open Day

Coventry Road, Bickenhill, Solihull, West Midlands, B92 0EJ

The National Motorcycle Museum is always worth a visit and its mighty collection of well over 1,000 motorcycles includes some real diamonds of motorcycling history. The Open Day sees the NMM throw open its doors and let people in free of charge, and there will be a special guest appearance by living legend and champion racer John McGuinness.



South of England Classic Bike Show

South of England Showground, Ardingly, West Sussex, RH17 6TL

Dive into the autojumble, show off your beloved machine, have your say at the Q&A or just enjoy the biker-friendly atmosphere.
