While not necessarily the first name you think of when the conversation turns to motorcycles, German engineering titan Bosch has set its sights on achieving sales of €1 billion in the motorcycle market alone.

The world-famous manufacturer is aiming to reach this bold goal through efficiency and safety solutions and, in fairness, they’ve made promising progress already. More than 160 million two-wheelers will be built by 2021, they’ve manufactured more than two million motorcycle ABS units since 1995 and their business unit has recruited several thousand more engineers to treble in size in just a year.

You heard it here first, folks – there may be a major new player in motorcycling before long and it’s a name you already know.
