Morten Hansen receives the first BMF David Dingley Memorial Award
On October 7, the BMF was proud to award FEMA’s Morten Hansen with the new David Dingley Memorial Award for outstanding services to motorcycling.
Morten has contributed greatly to motorcycling through his work for FEMA and BMF’s Norwegian cousin, NMCU. After many years of work, he is retiring.
Speaking about the award, Morten Hansen said: “I am so moved and so proud by this! A big thanks to all my friends and good colleagues in FEMA. It has been an honour and a true pleasure working with such fine people.”
The David Dingley Memorial Award is named after BMF member David Dingley, who passed away in 2015 and contributed significantly to the BMF. Morten Hansen is the first to receive it and the award will continue to be presented to those who deserve recognition for their excellent commitment and outstanding contributions to motorcycling.
Morten was presented the award by BMF Chairman Jim Freeman.
We’ll be running a more detailed account of Morten’s achievements in the next issue of BMF’s Motorcycle Rider magazine, which full BMF members will receive. If you’re not yet a full member, you can join today for just £28 a year.
The BMF’s Anna Zee spoke to Morten about motorcycling in Norway early last year. You can read the interview here.
