Ready for the Isle of Man TT movie?

If you’re getting bored of yet another superhero movie being released to a “theatre near you”, worry no longer! Bold Films, the company behind Drive and Whiplash, have announced that they will be producing a feature film revolving around motorcycles, racing and the Isle of Man TT.

The film tells the story of an American racer coming out of retirement to face the TT one final time. It’s clearly going to be nothing less than an adrenaline-fuelled blockbuster, racing through 37.73 miles of twisting roads in what is still regarded as the world’s most dangerous motorsport event.

Due to begin production in March 2017, the film is being written and directed by Ben Younger. Ben is also a life-long rider and ex-racer who has ridden the TT course and he has been working on the project for over a decade.

Ben said: "I’m thrilled to be partnering with Bold Films on what is an absolute passion project. The TT is the last, great, dangerous race on Earth and I am excited by the idea of bringing this new world to a general audience.”
