An international team of researchers is inviting motorcyclists who have been involved in collisions over the past decade to contribute to a survey.

The researchers, who are all motorcyclists with experience of crash investigation studies, are hoping to gain a better understanding of the dynamics of motorcycle crashes so they can shed light on what happens and why. They will also look at machines both with and without ABS to ensure a proper comparison of braking systems can be made.

The survey will ask riders 39 questions across four sections; finding out more about you and your motorcycle; background; crash details and general comments. It will be open for six months and the researchers hope to publish their findings in a report early next year.

The survey, which is anonymous, can be found here.
